Galaxy on Fire 2™ Full HD App Reviews
Played this on iPhone and iPad but I love being able to play on my iMac. It takes a little while to load but when it does it has amazing graphics and a lot of action. Also it synchronizes well with the iPhone and iPad versions including iCloud support for saved games. Cant finish your game because you have to go to work/school/whatever? Just save it do iCloud and continue it on your iPhone. Save it again to iCloud when youre done and continue at home. Love having that feature.
really good game
This is a really good game in both the ios and os x version runs really smooth but customisable controlls would be nice.
Epic Game!
Title says it all really, this game rocks. Worth the $
like this
great game for OS X Lion
Very Nice.
Played the iPhone version, loved it. Played this version, loved it more. Definitly worth it.
Having the iPad HD version of GOF2, I thought I would give this one a shot. A couple of problems on my 15” Retina MacBook 1. It does not scale well to the Retina display unless you have a 3rd party tool to switch your resolution. What this means is that on a stock MacBook Pro Retina, the maximum resolution it will do is 1440x900. 2. If you use a 3rd party utility to put your Mac to true Retina, then the game will STILL not scale to the correct resolution. It will instead go into a “virtual desktop” mode where it tries to expand beyond your actual screen space, and you can’t scroll. So only way to exit the game is to force quit. If you run it in windowed mode, it will only go to 2560x1600. This is very annoying, and an inconvenience to run the game at it’s max capacity. This is typical of ports that don’t take into consideration that you can’t just take an iPad game and run it on a Mac almost completely unworked. It might be worth it for $9.99 for the game with the Add-ons, but you want $9.99 for the game + $19.99 for the add-ons too? As far as the game is concerned, I will say that on the iPad it looks phenomenal, but the graphics quality suffers the jump to a 15” screen, where the same iPad textures are scaled up to a larger display. The gameplay is fun, just like on the iPad, but the story is atrocious. Classic games in the same vein, like Privateer and Freespace really took you into their stories. This game has a story that, without spoiling it for anyone, is a joke. There’s all this stuff going on around, and the main plot of the story centers around the most banal and mundane topic. It’s as if the game was meant to be a comedy, which I think hurts the fun factor quite a bit.
Support ticket opened for more than a month, support team don’t care. Look at the internet. Lot’s of people that updated to yosemite have the same problem. And the support just don’t care! Shame!!!!
YOSEMITE__ DO__NOT__DOWNLOAD!!!!____I love the game but theres a HUGE flaw where if you have OS X Yosemite you can’t access the in game purchases and add ons for extra content. this is a huge issue as it greatly opens up the game with them. Fishlabs has been aware of this issue for a year but they refuse to fix the issue dispite many requests. Do not download! Steam has Elite Dangerous out today for OS X! Great game try that instead! Galaxy on Fire has ZERO support now its a waste of money.
起動しませんね
MacBook Pro 15-inch,Mid 2010 Lion10.7.1 にて試してみましたが、起動しません。 日本語環境が悪さをしているのでしょうか?? 早急のバージョンアップを期待します。

FISHLABS要注意ですね。
I almost feel like back in the days when I was playing Elite. This game is deep, great graphics, great ships, great performance even on my MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz. Well worth the money!
Having played this game for countless hours on a 4th Generation iPod Touch, I took the plunge to play this on a 2011-era MacBook Air and all I can say is this: big mistake. The games graphics are just way too intense for the system to perform well enough. Playing with a keyboard destroys any sense of enjoyment one may receive. Even when running the game with reduced quality, its just nowhere near as enjoyable as the iOS version. I love the game. I love the attention to detail. I dislike the system requirements. Perhaps when I get a Core i7 iMac in a year or two Ill give it another try … with a gamepad or flight stick. Until then, Ill stick with iOS.
No Add-ons for SNow Leopard. Be warned
One of the best games but NO add-on for SL. Only Lion and it is not mentioned above.
Craches all the time
Постоянно падает. ПО-СТО-ЯН-НО
great game, with a nice hd graphic and an interesting story behind, but guys, it crash several times and at the very beginning of the game, as soon as you destroy the first pirates ships outside the miner base! fix it immediately!
Hey fellas do you read the latest reviews? I bought this game out fo the major upset with X-Rebirth & now this game is also unplayable. I will definitely give it five stars when it opens on the latest OS X which is El Capitan… Nice game but I can’t give credit where credit is not due. Let’s get to it guys ya got people out here wanting to play your game!
Crashes almost imediatley when opened. I can not find a way to directly contact support, they want me to post on their forum? I just want to play the game I’ve spent 50 bucks in total and not have to deal with crashes all the time.
After the first update to the supernova expansion pack my USB controller is now fully functional. I cant get enough of this game even after Ive finished it 4 times. Thanks Fish Labs.
I love this game but, its one crash after another. They fixed the other version JUST BEFORE the release of this new one. Soooo I thought this new version would be better. WRONG and I spent $20!
Especially since Ive been using a PS3 controller on this game which is VERY HELPFUL! That is the main complaint that I had about the game, is that there are so many controls and keyboard keys that you have to press to play, but if you hook up a controller (the app store has apps to help you do that - just search under "controller"), much easier. The only drawback Ive found so far is that my dpad with the arrows, was useless in the menus, so I had to use the mouse for that. Hopefully they get that fixed in the next update. All in all though, a great and GORGEOUS game (the explosions could use a little bit more work), that would please anyone even remotely interested in sci-fi, or space operas. Great job, Fishlabs!
