This game has a "Freelancer" vibe, reminding me of Elite from the mid 80s. Lots of planets to visit, missions, ships, weapons, etc. One the one hand, this is a very typical explorations/missions/earn money to buy better gear game. On the other hand, game play is easy (in a good way) and the graphics are wonderful.
Lost its 5th star because some polish details arent there yet. For example, if you look at the map in the mission briefing, you then have to exit several levels, go through several other map displays, and then set desination. Lack of map, missions being accessible in space is a bit of a miss, too. I suspect these will be addressed, and when they do, I will upgrade this game to a 5. Been missing my Freelancer fix… feeling much better now.
